WHAT WE BELIEVE
The Short Version
God is real. He is all-powerful, all-knowing, and in charge of all things. He exists in Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He created everything and everyone, and every person matters deeply to Him. Everyone has sinned, and that sin separates all of us from God, so everyone needs Jesus, who died for our sins, rose from the dead, and is coming back again. Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
Heaven is real. Hell is real. Angels and demons – including Satan – are real. The Holy Spirit lives in every Christ-follower, and empowers us to live for God and serve others for Him. The Bible is God’s Word to us, and it is true, powerful, and relevant to us today. Baptism is when a Christ-follower is immersed under water, and is not an act of salvation, but a way for us to tell the world that we follow Jesus.
The Detailed Version
We believe in One God who eternally exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
- Father: We believe God is a loving father who cares deeply for all humanity.
- Jesus: We believe Jesus is fully God, was fully man, the Son of God and is the savior of the world.
- Holy Spirit: We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God and is His active presence in our world today.
We believe the Bible is inspired by God, without error, and given to teach us the best way to live.
We believe all humans need to be restored to a right relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
We believe there is only one way to be restored to God and have an eternal relationship with Him: through belief in Jesus Christ is as Lord and Savior, His sacrifice for our sins on the cross, and His resurrection from the grave.
We believe once someone has been restored to God through Jesus they are secure in that restoration for all of eternity.
We believe God’s plan for restoring the world to Himself is to use the local churches gathered together as the global Church worldwide.
We believe that Satan is the enemy of God. He is a real being who is doing everything in his limited power to prevent people from being restored to God.
We believe in a literal heaven and hell as the only two options where people will spend their eternity.
