According to Joshua Project, there are over 7,000 unreached people groups in the world, representing more than 40% of the global population. That’s a lot of people who have little or no access to the story of Jesus. A practical first step is simply to start asking God to move among these groups
One easy way to do that is with Joshua Project’s Unreached of the Day app, which highlights a different people group to focus on each day. You can use it on your own, with your family, or with your community group as a way to build a regular rhythm of praying for the world.
Families can also use the book Window on the World (ages 8-14) as a guide to pray and learn together, helping kids see what God is doing in other cultures and countries.
As a church, we’re not only praying for people we’ve never met—we’re also standing with long-term workers from Epic who are serving in hard-to-reach places. Your prayers for courage, wisdom, protection, and open doors for meaningful relationships are a real way to support them, even when you don’t know all the details of where they are or what they’re doing.
Maybe you’re passionate about helping people everywhere connect with Jesus, but you’re not sure what that actually looks like day to day. Learning more is a powerful next step.
MomentumYes is a free video series designed to inspire and equip everyday people to live on mission right where they are and around the world. It’s a great on-ramp if you’re just beginning to explore what global impact could look like in your life.
If you want to go deeper, there are also great tools and organizations that focus on unreached people groups and getting the story of Jesus to places where it’s rarely heard. Check out the resources to better understand what God is doing globally and how you can be part of it.
Sometimes the best way to grow is to step into a new place and serve. Going can look like crossing an ocean or just crossing a state line.
Our 2026 international trips are already formed and preparing to go, but there will be future opportunities to serve beyond our city. We’re also continuing to send teams through our National Relief Team, which partners with organizations like Samaritan’s Purse to respond to natural disasters in the southeast.
If you’re interested in being considered for future trips or relief deployments, let us know so we can keep you in the loop as new opportunities open up.
Not everyone will move to another country, but everyone can play a part in sending. Being a sender means supporting others who are going through prayer, finances, and ongoing encouragement.
You can help support long-term global workers from Epic as they serve in hard-to-reach places by giving and staying connected to their story. Your generosity helps provide what they need to live, serve, and build relationships in their new context.
Here you can download more on how to communicate with and about Epic’s workers.
You can also support our partners in Guatemala, Melanie and Alex Contreras with Tree Ministries, as they share hope, make disciples, and serve their community. You can sign up for their newsletter to receive updates or give financially to their work.

In December of 2012, ServeNow was launched to serve people in need by caring for orphans, widows, underprivileged children and youth as well as equipping the Church for greater fulfillment of its ministry and providing humanitarian assistance where needed.
Epic has partnered with ServeNow Ukraine for several years to bring hope to children through summer camps. We've sent teams and sponsored kids to attend camp – for most, their first camp experience ever. Many have come to know Jesus for the first time there.
When war came to Ukraine, Epic stood by our partner Tanya at ServeNow. We couldn't send teams anymore, but we could pray, stay connected, and give. Your generosity has helped evacuate families from war zones, place them in safe houses, and continue providing life-changing camp experiences for children living through unimaginable trauma.
This past summer, 18 children attended camp because of your sponsorship. Out of 155 total campers, close to half chose to embrace faith and pray to accept Jesus into their lives. In a country torn by war, these kids are finding peace, joy, and hope—discovering they are deeply loved by a God who hasn't forgotten them.
Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
