The 5G Life is our path to spiritual growth.
  • God

Our first G stands for GOD. Jesus showed us the perfect example of what it means to have a deep, growing relationship with God the Father. He prioritized time with His Father above everything else. That's why we place God at the center of our 5G circle—because like Jesus, our relationship with God should be at the heart of everything we do. The amazing truth is that God desires a genuine, personal relationship with each of us, one that grows deeper and influences every aspect of our lives. As we live out each G, the path naturally leads us back to our central relationship with God. The 5G life isn't a one-time achievement or a linear path— It’s a continual process of growing that we should engage in over and over again as we grow to be more like Jesus.

  • Gather

Our second G stands for Gather. Jesus consistently gathered people together to teach them how to live in a real relationship with God. And applying His teachings is what transforms our lives. So we want everyone to gather in one of our Epic worship environments (on campus / online) to hear the teachings of Jesus and how those teachings can impact us.

  • Grow

Our third G stands for Grow. At Epic, we believe we grow our relationship with God and others best through groups. Jesus did life with His small group of disciples and transformed the world through them. So we offer short-term spiritual growth groups that help us learn to talk and listen to God, read the Bible, apply what we are learning, serve like Jesus, and share our faith.

We also encourage everyone to get into one of our community groups. That’s where we can really learn to do life with others. We have men’s groups, women’s groups, couples’ groups, and groups for our students and for our children. Groups are a big part of everything we do at Epic.

  • Give

Our fourth G stands for Give. Since God is a generous giver, He wants us to learn to give like He does. God wants us to give of our time, talents, and treasures to help lead more people into a life-changing relationship with Jesus. Through giving, we learn that all we have is God’s and we learn what Jesus meant when He said it is better to give than receive.

  • Go

Our fifth G stands for Go. In Matthew 28, Jesus commanded His followers to go into all the world and tell people about Him. It's only when we introduce people to Jesus that they can be transformed by Him for all eternity. We live this out not only in our daily lives but also through organizing short-term mission trips each summer. So, everywhere we go—whether across the street or across the world—we should tell people about Jesus with our life and words.
